BIO

Ben Visini is a piano-playing comedy musician, and a serious musician when the jokes don’t land. Combining inspiration from musical theater, piano rock, and internet culture, his lyric-rich songs explore needing therapy, pursuing music as a career, and (drum roll) sex (applause). Ben’s music aims to make you listen, laugh, and think, as well as validate his choice to take music theory classes.

After taking classes at College of San Mateo and Chapman University, Ben took a break from school in 2019 to pursue music and comedy as a career, focusing on satire, wordplay, and meta-humor, while also taking inspiration from his personal life, popular culture, and his experience in the music industry. Ben’s music has connected to fans with its relatability and musicianship.

Since starting this project, Ben has been a featured guest at SF Sketchfest (2023), MAGWest (2022) and the New York Comedy Music Festival (2019). He has played numerous shows at local Bay Area venues such as Neck of the Woods, PianoFight, Ruckus Revival (Continental Club), and Hotel Utah, as well as across the country at The Den Theatre (Chicago) and Friars Club (New York). He is also currently the host of the Neck of the Woods Open Mic, one of the most popular mixed-performance open mics in the entire Bay Area.

He’s amassed a catalog of over 80 original songs, and garnered over 225,000 views on his Youtube channel. Ben has released three studio albums, “I Need an Outlet” (2021), “This Album’s Totally About You” (2022), and “BenSFW” (2023). He is currently working on two larger projects that are aiming a 2026 release.

DRUMS BIO

Ben Visini has been drumming for 20 years, with a focus in rock, funk, jazz, and rap styles. He has played at MAGFest (‘19), MAGWest (‘18, ‘22, ‘23), Fanime (‘19), and the Chinatown Music Festival (‘18, ‘19, ‘21). He is an accomplished pit drummer/percussionist with over a decade of experience playing for musicals. He also has performance experience playing drums for several Bay Area bands, such as Swamp Child, Lex the Lexicon Artist, and Chris Songco. He is currently drumming for Kat Robichaud’s Misfit Cabaret.
